Service Times

Regular Sunday Service

Sunday 11am-12pm

Worship at the Church of the Holy Rude is generally traditional with a liturgy that follows the seasons of the Christian Year.

In preaching we normally follow the Revised Common Lectionary, bringing our worship into line with churches of different traditions around the world.

Special services are held each year including a Festival of Lessons and Carols during Advent, the Kirking of the Council and Guildry of Stirling in June, and Remembrance Sunday in November.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion, or The Lord’s Supper, is celebrated during the main worship service on the first Sundays of March, June and December, and on the third Sunday of September, also at Christmas and Easter.

There is a shorter service of Holy Communion in the St Andrew Chapel after the main worship service on the first Sunday of all the other months through the year.

Many of our members, and our visitors, request prayer for people who are in need. In response to these requests, we hold a short service of prayer for healing and wholeness after the main service on the third Sunday of every month, in the St Andrew Chapel.

You can submit prayer requests by filling out one of the cards available in the chapel, or by sending an email to the Minister, marked in the subject line ‘Prayer Request’
