The Church of the Holy Rude is a landmark with a rich history, and we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring its story to life. Volunteering at the church is an excellent way to connect with our community, contribute to preserving our heritage, and make a difference in the lives of visitors.
We offer several volunteer opportunities where you can make an impact:
- Guide Team – Inside the Kirk
As a volunteer guide, you’ll have the chance to share the fascinating history of the Church of the Holy Rude with visitors from near and far. Whether you’re passionate about history, architecture, or simply enjoy meeting new people, being part of the guide team is a rewarding way to contribute. You’ll provide insightful tours, answer questions, and help visitors learn about the church’s significance and its role in the local community.
- Graveyard Volunteer
We are grateful for volunteers who help maintain and preserve the space within the Old Town Cemetery. Tasks may include light gardening, ensuring pathways are clear, and assisting with tours of the graveyard.
